How I work with parents:

  • I am the mom of an ADHD teen daughter.  I lead my parent sessions with empathy.
  • I believe that children want to be good, and that hard behavior is merely communication of what they are feeling or struggling with.
  • I learn about parents’ values, their current systems, what is working in their home, and their current struggles.  I then empower them to make the changes they would like.
  • My approach to working with parents involves using evidence-based strategies to build awareness, try experiments, and facilitate personal growth. Through our work together, I’ve watched many parents gain more confidence and build strong relationships with their children.
  • I collaborate with parents to devise plans based on parents’ priorities, goals and understanding of their children.
  • I focus on improving communication with your child, setting effective boundaries, motivating them through connection, working with and acknowledging their strengths, managing difficult behaviors, and fostering emotional resilience.
  • I want parents to leave each session with tricks, hacks, and tools they can use!

  • I lived in Malaysia for a year. On my walks, I saw monkeys, snakes, and leeches.

What parents say:

  • “By asking thought-provoking questions, Lauren facilitated ideas, and together we worked towards creative solutions that I didn’t see on my own. Her easygoing nature made me feel very comfortable during our sessions. I can confidently say that Lauren was instrumental in my personal search for answers.”
  • “Lauren was wonderful.  She really listened and gave us some great suggestions to try.  We learned a lot…and are still implementing all the things she shared with us.”
