How I work with my students:
- Build trust and rapport with the kids/families through active listening and meaningful conversations to gain a better understanding of their interests, strengths, and challenges.
- Help kids develop improved self-awareness, strategies, skills, and self-control.
- Encourage kids to experiment with strategies to see what works for them and adapt as needed.
- Increase attention and motivation by incorporating casual conversation, movement, games, activities, stories, drawings, praise, positive reinforcement, etc.
